THE CURE
I absolutely adore this band! Although, I have to admit that it took me a long time to get into their music. They have a very special sound and tracks like 'Friday I'm In Love', 'Just Like Heaven', 'Pictures Of You' and 'One Hundred Years are just a few of my fave songs of theirs.
TYPE O NEGATIVE
Again, a band that I took TOO long to get to. I am concentrating on feeding my love of thiers by collecting their backlog of albums. Also, a big influence on Ville valo, although this is not the reason why I like them so much!
CHARON
Another Finnish band which are very underestimated in the UK. A lot like HIM were before 'Love Metal'. A friend of mine taped me some of thier tapes some years ago and since then I have been trying to get hold of their albums, although it is hard considering they are not big here in the UK.
NINE INCH NAILS
Absolutely, well and truly fantastic. I have great respect for Trent Reznor and everything he is about. His music is so powerful and he really gets his point accross through his lyrics. This man well and truely doesn't mince his words!
MARILYN MANSON
I have adored 'the God of fuck' for years now. His music has also influenced a lot of bands, with songs like 'Beautiful People', 'Fight Song' and 'Spade' there is absolutely no real reason why no one should like at least on of their songs. I think they were at their best during 'Antichrist Superstar' which is still one of my favourite albums to date.
PARADISE LOST
This is the band that I have been into the longest out of all the above. Their sound is unique and has changed a lot over the years but they still manage to keep a major fan base. My personal favourite albums are 'Draconian Times' and 'One Second'.
